This Brie is a sweet and savory appetizer that is also really quick and easy! With just a few ingredients you can hand-craft a delectable, gooey, cheesy centerpiece that will have all you pepper jelly lovers coming back again and again!
Ingredients:
- 4 oz of TT’s Blueberry Jalapeno Pepper Jelly
- 1 – 8 oz round of brie unwrapped and top trimmed of rind
- 1 sheet of puff pastry approx. 8” x 8”; store bought or hand-made
- 1 lg egg yolk beaten with one tablespoon of water for egg-wash
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment and place pastry sheet in center of parchment.
- Center trimmed brie on pastry dough.
- Spread pepper jelly on top of brie and begin to wrap dough around the cheese and jelly.
- It is preferable to fold in a circular pinwheel shape to encase the cheese and jelly entirely.
- Trim off any excess dough.
- Lightly brush egg wash on entire top and sides of the pastry dough.
- Bake for 30 minutes on center oven rack. Pastry should be golden brown; cool for 10 minutes before serving.
