Blueberry Jalapeño Baked Brie

This Brie is a sweet and savory appetizer that is also really quick and easy! With just a few ingredients you can hand-craft a delectable,  gooey, cheesy centerpiece that will have all you pepper jelly lovers coming back again and again!

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz of TT’s Blueberry Jalapeno Pepper Jelly
  • 1 – 8 oz round of brie unwrapped and top trimmed of rind
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry  approx. 8” x 8”; store bought or hand-made
  • 1 lg egg yolk beaten with one tablespoon of water for egg-wash

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment and place pastry sheet in center of parchment. 
  3. Center trimmed brie on pastry dough. 
  4. Spread pepper jelly on top of brie and begin to wrap dough around the cheese and jelly. 
  5. It is preferable to fold in a circular pinwheel shape to encase the cheese and jelly entirely. 
  6. Trim off any excess dough. 
  7. Lightly brush egg wash on entire top and sides of the pastry dough. 
  8. Bake for 30 minutes on center oven rack.  Pastry should be golden brown; cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes:

  • It is preferable to fold in a circular pinwheel shape to encase the cheese and jelly entirely.
